"Fair and Balanced" or "Bought and Paid For?"
Changes Observed at Fox News:
- Rupert Murdoch, CEO of News Corporation, Fox's parent organization, has decided to make Abu Dhabi, the headquarters of the News Corporation’s global media operations in the Middle East.
- Fox Business Network announced that it will dispatch a full-time correspondent to the Middle East in order to inform Americans of the unique business opportunities in such places as Syria, a country that provides shelter for Hamas, the Islamic Jihad, and Hezbollah and support the insurgents in Iraq.
- Fox personalities including Charles Krauthammer, Glen Beck, A.B. Stoddard and Bill Kristol have have expressed strong criticism of individuals raising concerns about Islamic terrorism and have even condemned Geert Wilders, a well-respected Dutch dignitary and critic of radical Islam, as a “fascist” and a “demagogue.”
- Experts on Islam such as Walad Shoebat, Brigitte Gabriel, Robert Spencer, Danial Pipes, Nonie Darwish, etc. who are critical of Islam and Islamic terrorism are now prohibited from appearing on Fox News.
- Meanwhile, Bill O'Reilly & Fox News now legitimizes Ibrahim (Doug) Hooper, the head of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) despite the organization being a paid lobbying and PR organization for the Saudis as well as a front for Islamic terrorists.
- Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a nephew of Saudi King Abdullah, bragged, “I just had to make a phone call to [tell them to] stop using the word Muslim' regarding the rioting in France.”
Possible Reasons:
- Prince bin Talal, listed as the world's 22nd richest person, through his Kingdom Holding owns at least 7 percent of the News Corporation and has become the second largest shareholder in the Murdoch conglomerate.
- Some speculate that the actual shares controlled by Kingdom Holding through a hedge fund may exceed 25 percent.
- This same Prince bin Talal gives millions in “charity” to Hamas and other pro-Palestinian organizations.
- Mr. Murdoch has invested $70 million in the Rotana Group (Middle East TV channels and the leading producer of Arabic movies), owned by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a nephew of Saudi King Abdullah. individuals raising concerns about Islamic terrorism and have even condemned Geert Wilders, a well-respected Dutch dignitary and critic of radical Islam, as a “fascist” and a “demagogue.”
